Its February and Love is in the air !!
And all the more in blogland :-) I see a lot of challenges asking for projects with non traditional colours , no hearts and all sorts of out-of-box ideas for Valentine's day.Of all , I loved Beyond Grey's second challenge.
No red or pink and no hearts. I came up with 6X8 Mixed media canvas with all unconventional colours. My theme for this canvas is "Love is the Key"
Here is the canvas:
I created a stripped background, by masking with a tape and painting with Gold coloured acrylic paint.I added some layers with handmade paper and Echo Park pattern paper. The word Love is hand cut and the key is from stash. I added a net ,saved from old fruit packaging (inspired by Ujjwal !!!), to add some extra dimension.

Cute! Love the buttons and key.
ReplyDeleteP/s: This is not very dimensional so gel medium would work. Gel medium works like varnish...it's just acid-free and protects your work from turning yellow or having age spots over time.
